For airsoft:does a neaoprene mask really protect when used with goggles?

i dont like using a full facemask because its impossible to aim down the sights..well not impossible but hard. do those neoprene things protect agains tooth chipping does it even help with the pain or will it not block the pain...also would a scope mount with a red dot help this issue much? i cant shoot right with the friggen mask haha i have to see where the bbs are going and then adjust i need a sure hit help
