Am I wrong to respond to the lies?

I know how you feel. I sympathize with you. However with the 16 years of my life and 2 weeks I have spent arguing (on this site) with some really annoying extremists. I have discovered that it is almost impossible to convince and extremist and mostly you would be wasting your time. It is much more to your benefit to debate with someone with legitimate arguments which would help to give you a different perspective on the situation and also enlighten you. I have found that most of the arguments of the extremes of the political spectrum make no sense whatsoever. Find someone that is moderate or is open minded and is able to take different perspectives on the situation. These people will truly enlighten and help you in your view of the world.
