Question about my dogs neutering?

I just got my puppy back from being neutered.He was neutered last night and he stayed there overnight and they said he was fine and he seems to be fine but then just not he was laying near me and it looked like he has a little drop of pus coming from his area,not where the stitches are though.Im wondering is this is normal.Im uming a little drainage is normal as with any surgery.I mean its not like a lot coming out just a little drop that came out.He hasnt been running around or anything.They said to keep him calm and thats what ive been doing.He seems ok otherwise.
